~ Government inaction could be a disaster
ATA NSW has today called for the NSW Government to act quickly and deliver adequate rest areas for truck drivers. ATA NSW Manager, Jill Lewis, said that the fact that NSW RTA is not treating the serious lack of rest areas as urgent could prove to be a life and death situation for some drivers.
Peak industry body, the Truck Industry Council, has declared the first ever Melbourne Trailer Truck and Equipment Expo an unqualified success after more than 35,000 people attended the three day show.
