Actros truck of the year

At this year’s IAA Truck Show in Hannover Germany the new Mercedes-Benz Actross has carried off the International Truck of the Year 2009 trophy. The truck was awarded the accolade as anew model introduced in 2008 which was judged by European truck journalists to have made the greatest contribution to road transport efficiency.

Sprinter Recall

Mercedes-Benz have issued a recall of Sprinter 906 van models due to an incorrect fitting on the rear axle.

Actros spreads across Europe

The autobahns of Germany were full of Actros prime movers heading out in all directions from the Wörth Mercedes-Benz plant to Benz dealerships and company-owned Daimler outlets.

Safety gizmo test

According to the findings of development engineers at Mercedes-Benz following a fleet test conducted with a total of 1,000 Mercedes-Benz Actros semis in 2005/2006, half of the serious truck accidents in Europe could be prevented.
