Hello there! My name’s Tim Giles and I’ve worked in the transport industry since 1977, mainly as a truck driver including a couple of painful stints as an owner/driver.
After a period of truck driving around Europe I emigrated here to Australia to work as a linehaul driver.
After getting retrenched (again!) I drifted into writing about trucks and trucking, working as a technical editor and later managing editor at ATN and Owner//Driver.
I am now a freelance journalist, test driving trucks and generally being a nuisance to everyone.
This website is a blog intended to keep trucking people informed and hopefully amused!
